Lucas Nicolao uses clay to represent how subjective identity is built through assimilation and acceptance between people. He explores the value of inclusion, togetherness and support as fundamental milestones of human development in the social field.

This ceramist works with stoneware colored with oxides and pigments to achieve unique tones. He produces his works by assembling wheel-thrown objects with slab-built pieces.

He began his career in Argentina some years ago and continued his studies in Portugal and UK. He is currently based in Chile.
